Imbolc blessings to you. It has been a while since I wrote an Earth Angel Herbals newsletter, and this is it's first iteration as a blog post! Imbolc seemed a fine time to revive this practice. This day, which is half way between the winter solstice and the spring equinox, is a time of setting intentions and beginning to dream about and plant the seeds of what is to come this season. In Judaism, this time of year is celebrated as Tu Bi'Shevat, which celebrates trees but also originated as a legal holiday to deliniate one growing season from the next. But really, both holidays, have come to mystically represent the beginning of the next season, physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. So, I have been thinking about what seeds to be planting and dreaming into each of these worlds.
Physically, there is much I am dreaming about and creating in the realm of Earth Angel Herbals: Apprenticeships, Love Baskets, Flower Essence Combos, and An Essence of the Omer class. Registration is now open for the 2021 Plant Medicine for Body, Mind, Heart, and Spirit Apprenticeship. This apprenticeship meets completely outside one day per month from May-October. It is a hands on journey in plant medicine making and plant spirit medicine. Work trade/ BIPOC scholarships are available. Of course, covid precautions are in place and class numbers will be kept small. Click on the link above for more info. I have also put together some herbal gift baskets that are available for purchase or barter. The first is A Love Basket, focused on bringing you the self love you deserve, and contains massage cream, rose flower essence, lavender bath salts, schisandraberry-rose elixir, and stress ease tincture. To learn more visit here . And these are just the seeds I'm musing about in the Earth Angel Herbals physical realm. There are are also seeds in the mental, emotional, and spiritual realms too. Seeds of setting new mental patterns that focus on gratitude over complaining, embodying love when setting structure for my children, making time for Spirit connection and keeping the centeredness of it flowing into each day. While I know I wont be perfect in manifesting these intentions, just the act of planting the seeds of them, and revisiting them at these sacred points in the calendar, helps to bring them forth more into my life.
