Rebecca Golden, Herbalist and Educator
|
At the time I was living in Washington State. I had never really used herbal medicine and barely knew the plants. A friend asked me if I wanted to go harvest some nettles with her. So I did. And I have been hooked on herbs as food and medicine ever since. That was over 20 years ago.
Since then I have studied at Rosemary Gladstar's Sage Mountain with a variety of herbalists, Pam Montgomery's Partner Earth Education Center, The Boston School of Herbal Studies with Madelon Hope and Tommy Priester, Clearpath Herbals with Chris Morano, and many years at herbal conferences. The plants, of course, are also my teachers. I began Earth Angel Herbals as an apothecary, selling flower essences, tinctures, creams, and more. Shortly after that I began teaching my first apprentices. Since that start, the herbal products business has waned, and my energy has gone into what I love most, sharing the plants with others and helping people to create their own relationships with the plants and take control over their own healing. |
Motherwort, Leonurus Cardiaca, lionhearted
One of the first plants who spoke to my heart. This motherwort is growing in the garden at our homestead in Vermont. |
